A Springtime Wedding at The Old Lantern Inn, Charlotte Vermont

As a Vermont wedding photographer, I can tell you first hand that springtime in this area makes for some of the most incredible weddings. This particular springtime wedding was certainly no exception! The perfect mix of warm afternoons and crisp evening air, combined with the vast greenery and gorgeous color palettes only springtime can offer are the perfect recipe for any Vermont Bride.

Kate and John picked the perfect venue to bring the springtime season in Vermont to life. Their Old Lantern Inn Wedding was a dream. With a mix of rustic & romantic vibes their shades of lavender and white were the perfect color palette for the laid back day of celebrating love in every aspect of the word.

Kate & John met through Kate’s grandmother (GUSH!!). Kate is from a long line of firefighters, and John is one as well. As the dispatcher for the fire department, Kate’s grandmother thought the two would be a perfect pair and those instincts were so very correct! Seven years, two apartments, one new house, and a fur baby later and the two were ready to say “I Do” and chose the Old Lantern Inn as their venue, for obvious reasons, it is beautiful!

With such a fairytale love story, I knew the wedding day for these two would be amazing. The day came and the weather could not have been better. The outdoor ceremony brought out the beauty of all that springtime glory and this Old Lantern Inn wedding was one to remember.

Kate dazzled in a strapless gown from Fiori Bridal Shop in Essex, while John looked ever so handsome in his navy tux from Needleman’s Bridal of South Burlington. Following formal photos in the lush landscape of the Old Lantern grounds, the couple danced the night away to tunes from Supersounds of Underhill Vermont. The night concluded with a beautiful dessert table of cake and cupcakes galore from none other than For the Love of Cupcakes, in Essex Junction, VT. Every detail of the day was lovely and the perfect start to the most incredible life as Mr. & Mrs. Ouellette!
